The best way to avoid the Sunday scaries? Call in sick on Monday. Jk, don’t do that. For reals though, I always try to do something on Sunday that makes me feel more organized for the week ahead. Since leaving Instagram, I started utilizing my Facebook page a lot more and that led to the creation of a fit bit challenges this year. It’s been a great way to connect with other people and have a healthy competition.

The first step in eating right is to get prepared. Go through your fridge and pantry and toss all the unhealthy packaged crap you were stockpiling through the winter. Then, collect recipes of all the healthy meals you want to cook and write a list of ingredients you need. Stock your pantry with these healthy ingredients and any other cooking essentials. #workplacewellness
I want to make one recommendation to you - start the week with the intention of this 1 big thing that can make a difference -setting boundaries for how you will allow yourself to be treated at work, with friends and family. It doesn’t mean being cold, rude or hard it is simply knowing when others demands or behaviour towards you go against your own values.

Life is tough my darling, but so are you.
It’s been a looong day. Actually it’s been a loooong week!! With Mitch having had his surgery he’s still a little on struggle street so I’ve been doing my best to have all the hats on.. Mama Bear, Nurse, hunter gatherer, chef, waitress, entertainer.. all the hats.
It’s no different to any other day, I guess I’m just accustomed to having my wingman help out with the kids. He’s a champ like that.
So maybe I’m a little precious and emotional tonight. Ummm no different to usual actually 🤷🏻♀️ I am certain that there are so many out there that have it pretty tough when it comes to caring for their children and families. I get that, I take my hat off to all parents and carers! Looking after, caring for and nurturing a family is hard bloody work. I do what I do because I want to do it, because I love them dearly. But sometimes you just feel stretched so thin. Pulled in 55 different directions throughout the day. Never actually executing one task from start to finish in one go because Lo and behold your distracted with a request for a drink or asked to wipe some ones butt.
Goes without saying my patience have also been stretched thin this weekend. I can not confirm nor deny there may have been a few times I lost it over the weekend at a 5 year old who often chooses not to listen and a squealler of a one year old as that’s her preferred method of communication.
Then of course the Mama guilt sets in, you know the type.. you feel like an absolute asshole for losing your mind when all they want is some sort of attention - good, bad or indifferent!
The icing on the cake was when said 5 year old informs me that she is lonely at night in her room and sobs uncontrollably because she will do anything to stay with the Mama and Papa bear #ohmyheart
So, although I feel like i didn’t really get a whole lot of R and R in this weekend, I’m very much looking forward to work this week so I can have a rest 🤣🤣🤣
To all of y’all out there who feel as though this gig might very well consume you whole.. you are doing your best. Your best is enough! You’ve got this.
