This may just look like some kind of Instagram gimmick, but it genuinely felt unreal. When doing a chest press:
Dumbbells - tend to have more tension/ load on pecs at the bottom
Cables - tend to focus on peak contraction
Combining the two gave more load at the bottom, thanks to dumbbells. I also gained more contraction at the top, because of the cables.
I’ll be honest, this is my first time trying it and only managed 12.5kg dumbbells + 10kg on the cables. I was doing sets of 10-12 with this being my last set.

Today I failed my final squat set of 365lb (165.5kg) miserably... it’s been a long time since I pushed myself this hard on leg day, weight wise.
Thought I failed at a weight I’d normally get up the fire is ignited to get it done next week!
